Mr. Hermelee is the founder of the Miami law firm of Hermelee Law P.L. Bruce G. Hermelee has resided and practiced law in South Florida since 1971. He is an Honors graduate of Princeton University (1963) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (1966). He is a member of the New York Bar (1967) and the Florida Bar (1971). He is admitted to practice in New York and Florida State and Federal trial courts, and the United States Supreme Court. He has been rated AV by Matindale Hubbell for more than 35 years and designated as a Preeminent Attorney by Martindale Hubbell for the past 15 successive years. His areas of expertise include: complex commercial and residential real estate transactions, copyright and trademark infringement, land use and enviromental regulation, ADA compliance, professional malpractice defense, and corporate/partnership disputes.
Mr. Hermelee is the past President of the Princeton Alumni Association of South Florida and a member of the National Alumni Council, Princeton University. Mr. Hermelee is a founding board member and past secretary of the National Association of Environmental Professionals, a founding member and Vice-President of the Marine Safety Group, and a former member of the Florida Committee on Cooperation between Attorneys and Accountants. He is a founder of Mount Sinai Hospital on Miami Beach.
Mr. Hermelee practiced corporate and labor law in New York City from 1967 to 1970. After moving to Florida, he formed the firm Milledge & Hermelee in 1973. Thereafter, he joined the law firms of Fine Jacobson and Blackwell and Walker. Since 1985, his practice has evolved to include complex litigation in real estate, environmental regulation, and intellectual property matters, trademarks, patent and copyright law, business disputes and Americans with Disabilities Act litigation. During Mr. Hermelee's career, he has been retained by other professionals—attorneys, engineers, architects, bankers and physicians. Countless Florida professionals have relied upon him to preserve their good names and protect their assets.
A significant part of Mr. Hermelee's client base is derived from out-of-state attorneys and business which require representation in South Florida. Ross Dylan Hermelee is an associate at Hermelee Law P.L. and has resided in Florida his entire life. He is a graduate of Florida International University's College of Law (2012). Mr. Hermelee received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Western Carolina University, in 2007 and 2009. Mr. Hermelee is a member of the Florida Bar.
At Western Carolina Mr. Hermelee was a Senator in the Student Government, captain of the University's Division I Cross Country and Track and Field teams, first-team all-conference, and seven-time academic all-conference selection. While earning his Master's degree Mr. Hermelee worked as a Graduate/Research Assistant for the Business Law Department. Mr. Hermelee also worked for the North Carolina Agricultural Mediation Program, where he was certified as a community mediator.
At the Florida International University College of Law he served as Vice-President of the FIU School of Law, and currently serves as the alumni class representative of his class. In 2011 and 2012 he received awards for commitment, dedication and contributions made to the FIU Law Student Bar Association. While attending FIU, Mr. Hermelee interned at the FIU Department of Athletics in the general counsel and compliance departments.
Mr. Hermelee concentrates in the areas of business and intellectual property litigation, and complex commercial real estate transactions. Mr. Hermelee is a member of the Florida Bar.

After Graduating from the University of Miami in 1964, he traveled “up east” to graduate from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts in 1969. Mr. Wieder lived in Paris for a while with his French-born wife, Catherine, after finishing law school, learning to speak French. After living in Paris, he moved to New York City, he got his first job in Manhattan, joining the legal staff of Hartford Insurance and gaining valuable court experience and learning how to function as a trial lawyer.
After his daughter’s birth, he decided to move back to Florida and hang out a shingle as a sole practitioner. For 38 years he has been successfully handling and trying personal injury and commercial cases, resulting in millions of dollars in settlements and million dollar verdicts for victims of injuries, medical negligence, and other civil torts.
Mr. Wieder is a member of the New York and Florida Bars, the United States District Court trial bar, the American Bar Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Dade County Bar association, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association and the National Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Mr. Wieder has also served on several Florida Bar committees, including an Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee, the function of which is to guard the public from unscrupulous people who claim to be lawyers but are not. He has also served on and chaired the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, and he was the chairman of the City of Miami Beach debarment committee. Mr. Weirder has also chaired the Dade County Bar Association Mediation Committee and served on the Civil Litigation Committee as well.
